1 cup all-purpose wheat flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
100 gr of melted butter
1 large egg
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Icing sugar to decorate
In a medium bowl place all the dry ingredients previously sifted (flour, sugar and baking powder). Then, in the center, add the moist ingredients (butter, egg, yogurt, vanilla). Mix everything with a spoon until you get a homogeneous and heavy mixture, without lumps. Cover a medium size rectangular bread pan with butter and flour and pour the mixture.
Cook in a preheated medium oven for approximately 45 minutes or until golden. Let it cool and unmold.
To finish you can dusting the bread with icing sugar or prepare a light icing combining the sugar with lemon or orange juice, or just water.
Tip: You can use the same recipe base to make breads of different flavors, just add your favorites such as: banana, chocolate chips, apple slices, coconut flakes, nuts, etc.
